The 7th International Cancer Congress (ICC 2025), organized by the Binaytara Foundation in Janakpurdham, Nepal, brought together leading national and international experts to discuss the latest advancements in cancer treatment and management. This annual event continues to serve as a crucial platform for oncologists, physicians, medical students, and researchers to exchange knowledge, refine clinical expertise, and explore evolving therapeutic approaches.
Held over two days, the congress focused on hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, emphasizing guideline-based treatments, novel therapeutic modalities, and diagnostic advancements. With 72 attendees, including faculty members, oncologists, surgeons, residents, and medical students, the discussions fostered a deeper understanding of cancer care and encouraged multidisciplinary collaboration.
A post-activity survey revealed overwhelmingly positive feedback, with a majority rating the event as excellent or very good. Participants expressed confidence in applying new therapeutic strategies in their clinical practice, highlighting the congress’s role in improving clinical competence and patient outcomes. Despite minor concerns, such as poster presentation discrepancies and time management, attendees praised the congress’s well-organized structure and educational value.
Going forward, participants recommended greater inclusion of interactive case studies, holistic approaches incorporating dietitians and psychologists, and expanded networking opportunities. Suggestions such as travel grants for medical students and additional discussions on cancer screening guidelines could further enhance future editions of ICC.
By fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing, ICC 2025 reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening oncology education and patient care in resource-limited settings, paving the way for improved cancer treatment strategies in Nepal and beyond.
