Staff Nurse/Registered Nurse
Job Summary
A Nurse provides direct patient care, ensures the smooth delivery of nursing services, and supports the overall healthcare team in maintaining high standards of patient safety and satisfaction. The role involves monitoring patients, administering treatments, and promoting a safe and supportive healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Provide direct care to patients, including assessments, treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including nursing assessments and progress notes in EMR KareXpert.
- Update patient charts promptly and ensure all entries comply with regulatory standards.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Address patient concerns and provide emotional support when needed.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with physicians, allied healthcare professionals, and other nurses to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Participate in shift handovers and team meetings to ensure continuity of care.
- Infection Control:
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Adhere to hygiene practices, such as proper handwashing and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, performing life-saving interventions as necessary.
- Ensure knowledge of emergency procedures and access to relevant equipment.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to hospital policies, legal regulations, and nursing standards.
- Report any incidents, unsafe practices, or breaches in protocol immediately.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Active and valid Nepal Nursing Counsil (NNC) license.
- Equivalence certificate for Nurses who completed their education outside Nepal.
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting (preferred but not mandatory).
- Should be willing to receive a 3-months training in a reputed institution in India.
